Who Can Ride?
Any current undergraduate full time student at Stony Brook University. We have riders of all levels, from those that have never ridden a horse to those that have been riding for years. As long as you are a full-time undergraduate student at Stony Brook University, you can join.
How Much Does it Cost?
The lesson fee is $900 for the full school year. This includes all of the show fees, weekly lessons, and hacking.
What Does Being on the Team Entail?
We have mandatory meetings on Wednesdays at 1PM in the Campus Recreation Center. You are also required to go to a weekly lesson (to be scheduled at the beginning of the year). If you don't go to the lesson, you don't show. We host one or two horse shows a year at which you will be required to help out at.
How Can I Get to the Barn?
The barn is located at 471 Boyle Rd in Selden, NY. If you do not have a car, we have many people on the team with cars! Carpooling options are available for those who dorm and can't find a ride. Unfortunately, the school does not provide transportation for us. Carpooling is also available for commuting to shows.
